Zurich, November 10, 2020 – Conzzeta reports the signing of a binding agreement to divest its FoamPartner business unit to Recticel, the Belgium specialist in polyurethane chemistry, headquartered in Brussels and listed on Euronext (REC), for an enterprise value of CHF 270 million. The closing of the transaction is expected in the first quarter 2021, subject to regulatory approval.

Zurich, October 16, 2020 – The Conzzeta Group posted net revenue of CHF 905.4 million for the first nine months of 2020. At constant exchange rates and taking changes in the scope of consolidation into account, revenue was down 11.8% on the previous year. The decline for six months had been 16.2%.

Zurich, August 7, 2020 – Conzzeta’s half-year 2020 results are strongly impacted by both, the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the divestitures of the Glass Processing segment at the end of March 2019 and the Schmid Rhyner business unit at the end of February 2020. The disposals resulted in a loss of contributions to revenue and earnings as well as in divestment gains of CHF 30.6 million in the first half of 2019 and CHF 48.1 million in the first half of 2020. On a comparable basis, i.e. adjusted for the changes in the scope of consolidation and at constant exchange rates, the Group’s net revenue in the first half of 2020 was 16.2% below the previous year. The adverse effects of changes in the scope of consolidation amounted to CHF 38.9 million and those from currency effects to CHF 30.3 million.

Zurich, March 17, 2020 – In a challenging environment, Conzzeta in 2019 was able to increase its EBIT margin by 50 basis points to 8.7%, adjusted for the capital gain of CHF 29.9 million from the sale of the Glass Processing segment. At constant exchange rates and adjusted for changes in the scope of consolidation, net revenue declined by 4.9% primarily due to market factors, while the corresponding operating result was maintained.
